Claude Code can be configured to use an OpenAI-compatible endpoint via its provider settings.

Prerequisites

• You have set up your providers and Switchboard is running.
• You have installed Claude Code.

Configuring the provider

Add the Switchboard endpoint to your Claude Code settings. See the Claude Code provider documentation for the exact configuration format for your version.

The proxy endpoint to point at is:

http://127.0.0.1:3812/openai/v1/chat/completions

Testing

Run Claude Code and verify requests are routed through Switchboard by checking the proxy logs.
